I was lucky enough to see George Carlin when I was pretty young. Sometimes my parents push for more culture turned against them. Imagine sitting next to your parents at 15 during a GC set! Ruled. It was like having someone on my side. Since then I have heard Carlin shit more truth than most people speak. Like Lenny Bruce before him (a guy Carlin often praised and considered himself a fan of) his philosophy of “question everything” couldn’t be more useful than in today’s world. And like the priests and clergymen opposite to him, he saved as many souls as he could by teaching through humor to think for yourself. I hope his energy finds peace and if there is a god I hope he is laughing with him, although I’m not so sure George would be so worried.
