Killer Klowns from Outer Space American Werewolf in London
An army of clown looking aliens land their tent ship in a small American town. Mike Tobacco (Grant Cramer) and Debbie Stone (Suzanne Snyder) where out on a date when they saw the ship land and decide to go investigate. They soon realize their town was in the midst of an invasion by these evil Klowns. They try to warn the citizens of Crescent Cove but no one believes them. Instead they think they are playing some kind of prank. Meanwhile, the Klown army advances and fatally tricks the locals with the cunning use of killer shadow puppets and balloon animals. After witnessing some bizarre shit, Officer Hanson (John Allen Nelson) who happens to be Debbie's ex, realizes they were telling the truth and helps rally a resistance. After Debbie is captured, the group goes to the tent ship in an effort to rescue her. There they discover that the aliens are capturing the townspeople in cotton candy cocoons and killing/drinking them through krazy straws. The resistance is on a mission to rescue Debbie while destroying the Killer Klowns in the process.

This is perhaps one of the best bad horror films every created. Clowns are terrifying but these Klowns are hilarious. Kudos to the Chiodo brothers for creating this masterpiece.

Memorable dialogue:

Debbie Stone: We were up at "the top of the world" and we saw this shooting star and we decided to go look for it. But instead of finding the shooting star we saw this... this circus tent. And that's when we went inside, and that is when we saw those people in those... those pink, cotton candy cocoons. Dave, it was not a circus tent. It was something else.
Dave Hanson: What? What?
Mike Tobacco: It was a space ship. And there was these things, these killer clowns, and they shot popcorn at us! We barely got away!
Curtis Mooney: Killer clowns, from outer space. Holy shit!
David Kessler and Jack Goodman (David Naughton and Griffin Dunne) are two American students on a backpacking trip through Europe. After wandering through East Proctor, England, they end up at the Slaughtered Lamb pub where locals are rather unhelpful and peculiar. David and Jack leave the pub and quickly dismiss the warning to steer clear of the moors. After getting lost, the pair is viciously mauled by a werewolf. David wakes up three weeks later in a London hospital where he learns his friend Jack did not survive the attack. David begins having nightmares involving Jack warning him he will turn into a werewolf during the next full moon. According to Jack's ghost, the only way for David to lift the curse is if he kills himself. Once David is finally released from the hospital, he is taken in by a nurse named Alex (Jenny Agutter). They begin a love affair leaving only a matter of time before the next full moon and David's hairy transformation.

This was a great film thanks to the brilliant partnering of Naughton and Dunne. Not many other films have been as successful incorporating humor, horror and romance. Anyone else notice that every song on the soundtrack includes the word moon? Admit it, you still ahhhooo whenever you hear Warren Zevon's masterpiece.

Memorable dialogue:

Jack: The undead surround me. Have you tried talking to a corpse? It's boring. I'm lonely! Kill yourself, David…
