After seeing this awesome trailer on the big screen, it got me thinking - On guitar...who you got? Think about it... |
||
| Jack White | The Edge | |
|
- Best know for the White Stripes
- plays the guitar and bass guitar essentially at the same time on one instrument. his skills are listed as: Vocals, guitar, piano, organ, bass, drums, marimba, mandolin - sometimes, like on birth certificates, he goes by the name ohn Anthony Gillis - ranked #17 on Rolling Stones 100 greatest guitarists of all time. - that's him on guitar/bass same time - Icky Thump - hypnotize - a little acoustic set on Charlie Rose |
- U2
- Guitar, keyboards, vocals, bass guitar - sometimes, it's rumored he goes by the name - David Howell Evans - takes 45 on the road, and uses 17 to 19 in one 2.5-hour concert. He is estimated to have more than 200 guitars in the studio - ranked #17 on Rolling Stones 100 greatest guitarists of all time. - probably one of the best intros to a song...ever. - I can't find many video examples from U2 to embed...here's what i got: U2 |MTV Music |

Going to go White on this one. The Edge is a great guitarist but not very technical and White has barely scratched the surface of his career.
Totally differetn music, but another sick one is Charlie Hunter. Another Bass and guitarist on one guitar. AMAZING!![]()
You want your minute back? That clip was only 17 seconds. Did you watch it three times?
Yo.
I like to listen to The Edge while I am balancing on a razor,
his echos and distortion, contortion of rhythms will never bore ya,
A wizard with the axe and even more so on electronics,
He sometimes sounds like a keyboard, listen to Super Sonic...
The White plays more black and white like a cookie,
compared to The Edge maybe, but he 'aint no rookie,
If you unplugged them both don't go running to your bookie,
with your Edge bet cause broke crackers don't get any nookie.

Classic contest XversusY. I also saw that trailer and it rocked! I chose The Edge because he's an icon and his guitar licks are so recognizable and establish U2 songs. He gets my click today.
