Bazooka vs. Big League Chew - X versus Y

Bazooka is hard to vote against because it is such an institution. I used to get a real kick out of the mini cartoons and fortunes but let's face it, the gum was super hard and did not last long. The bubbles were great but by the time you softened up the gum who has the strength?

Big League Chew had many things going for it. It was super soft, gave you the option to stuff your face or just use one strand more to rejuvenate the flavor. Bubbles were massive and you never had to worry about breaking your teeth. Packaged just like Big League players tobacco pouches doesn't hurt either in the eyes of a 12 year old.

Although I'm all for giving imitation tobacco products to children, I have to go with Bazooka. Not only does it come with comics but you can save them up and send them in for prizes. I still have the super spy glass I got for 30 comics in 1984. Plus, Bazooka Joe has an eyepatch. That's badass.

bootywhiteman, thanks for coming back.  yeah, the fact that you can send those in for prizes is so great.  but i vaguely remember being able to do that with big league chew as well, and you would get a batting glove or something.  but i guess if i can't remember, bazooka joe wins.  as far as gum goes though, big league chew was much better.  sh*t, i think i just confused myself out of this vote.  i like them both so much.  ill be back with my vote later.
