McCain is not a bad man and he is a leader in many ways. All of them irrelevant to the presidency. Honor? Irrelevant. All that stuff about courage? Irrelevant. Amazing? Absolutely! Relevant, not really, no. Policies are what make a president a good president. Who he decides to surround himself with to stand by and/or change things to make those policies a reality. Every gun toting fat fuck wants to vote for who he would hang out in a bar with… even more irrelevant. Here are 3 simple facts about the policies. 1) McCain wants to protect the corporations from taxes…. Cause that’s been working out so well. 2) Obama want to end the war in Iraq as soon as possible while McCain will undoubtedly dilly dally in a last ditch effort to save republican face in that situation, and 3) Barack makes a much better spokesperson for America, regardless of policies which is much more relevant now due to the Bush factor. Ug!
Obviously, 80% of the people in this peanut gallery make a combined income of less than 200K a year….
Please note that I'm an independent that hasn’t made up his mind – with Obama my taxes will stay the same, with McCain my taxes will go down around 10K a year – therefore, McCain = new car.....THAT'S BIG!!!!! What should I get? Can we make my two top car choices an X v. Y? Wait, this assumes McCain wins….hummmm

Even if you believe that social issues will not change during the election you seem to have completely forgotten about...ummm...the ECONOMY. unless of course you think that taxes are the only economic issue of import. And i stand by my statement. if you are undecided at this point, your decision at the poll is more or less arbitrary. stay home so people who care about the future can decide it.
If it came down to it, id rather pay higher taxes and be employed than in a depression and eating beans every day. although i think monkey boy wouldnt mind that all that much.
Gayboy - By the way, there is a strong argument that Obama is an empty suit….for example, if he did not agree with his pastor, why didn’t he leave the church? why did he wait for the media to find out before leaving the church? very odd.... by the way, I may still vote for him, but this scares me!

Okay, i have to leave the gallery, but in the spirit of our democracy i will leave Stiemy with a final argument trying to persuade him to vote our side. If you believe that median family income, the market, the federal deficit, healthcare, the trade imbalance, two wars, our international standing, the supreme court becoming irreversibly conservative, the right for a woman to choose, and the very real possiblity of a sarah palin presidency is more important that people that make over $250,000 a year paying more taxes.....then by all means; vote mccain. otherwise, you know what you need to do.

i came late to the battle. and needless to say i disagree with most of what Stiemy said but if only for the fact that 1. It is about time we put someone who reflects the changing face of America (yes, i through out the race card) 2. the last 8 years have been so destructive both to the internal structure of this country not to mention the way we are perceived around the world and 3. that anything you can do to stop Palin from being in any position of authority is a step in the right direction. If you are still undecided then I am not sure what you may be waiting for. I will still toast you at the wedding bitch.
